Documentary coverage is the opposite of a promotional shoot. There is no script, no second take and no lighting rig in the corner of the frame — which means the whole job is preparation, and then the discipline to leave things alone once it starts.
What is included
- A pre-shoot recce of every location, with a sound check in each room.
- Two operators for the full duration, one on the primary subject and one on context.
- Dual-system audio: lavalier on the subject, a shotgun on the boom, and an ambient recorder running continuously.
- An edit to a 12–20 minute cut, plus three short-form versions for social.
How the days run
We shoot far more than we use. A typical two-day subject produces eight hours of footage that becomes fifteen minutes, and the ratio is the point: the moment worth keeping is rarely the one anybody planned.
The interview is the safety net, not the film. If the footage cannot carry the story without it, we have not shot enough.
What you receive
Full source footage on a delivered drive, an assembly of the selects, the graded final cut, and the project file. You own all of it — there is no rights window and no re-licensing fee.
